Innovation Description

Researchers at Notre Dame have created a diagnostic test card that can be administered at the point-of-need to identify falsified medicines in just minutes. With DIV Stage 1 funding, Notre Dame is demonstrating the utility of this screening method in large-scale post-market surveillance of pharmaceuticals in Western Kenya and integrating drug quality testing into the pharmacovigilance program and drug purchasing process at Moi Teaching and Referral hospital.
